We are now looking for a person to Production Preparation in our Large Motors & Generators division in Västerås.
This position reports to Manufacturing Unit Manager.
Your responsibilities
Production preparation for manufacturing of the order specific machines and control equipment based on information from the order design team.
Purchasing preparation for order specific purchases for the machines and control equipment based on information from the order design team.
Placing orders and follow up of material deliveries for some materials in the order, for example the Main Terminal Boxes. Most materials are purchased by tactical purchasing team.
Supporting other parts of the organisation with additional needs within the project. For example if something has gone wrong and new material/component is needed urgently.
Being a part of the project team and together make sure that all order-specific requirements are included. An important part for the role is to make sure that all certificates are actually included in the purchases.

Your background
Degree in Engineering or Production Technology, alternatively equivalent knowledge gained through other education and work experience.
At least two years' experience from a similar role.
Knowledge/experience of industrial production and logistics.
Technical understanding and skills in reading drawings.
Experience of SAP or other ERP systems as well as experience of TeamCenter or similar PDM systems is preferable.
Experience from rotating machines and commercial experience is a plus.
Fluency in Swedish and English.
Self-driven team player with outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to plan own job and take action when needed.
