Process and Systems develops Sandvik Machining Solutions' (SMS) production processes, rules and guidelines in accordance with objectives. Production-related processes can be, for example, production data storage, PK guidelines, processes for press tool handling, stocked specials processes, special products processes, set-up of new products and engineering processes. Right now we are looking for a Production Process Expert, who will have insight into the SMS production set-up and a very good opportunity to shape the future SMS production processes and systems.

Key performance areas
As a Process Expert you will locate improvement areas, develop, improve and follow up working processes and systems for production. You will also set up guidelines and documentation for processes and follow up compliance. Further, your role will also include supporting and training production units in processes and monitoring global processes.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with a good theoretical and practical foundation from previous work in production and at least five years in a position in production engineering or a similar field. You have a proven record of fostering change and building networks and are able to deliver results. To be well suited for this role, good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are a prerequisite, as are good skills in MS Office and Lotus Notes. Good knowledge of SMS production processes and systems is an advantage, as is knowledge in production engineering and SMS supply chain.

As you will be working with people from different cultures and different backgrounds and interests, it is important that you are team oriented as well as people oriented. You are a communicative problem solver, who is able to drive improvement and change, while constantly being customer focused with a great understanding of customer demands.
