We are looking for a dedicated Production Quality Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.
Job Scope
As a Production Quality Engineer, you will drive the improvement of quality levels and performance for processes and products in manufacturing. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our production meets high standards and complies with regulations, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Establish PFMEA's and MSA: Develop process flow charts and continuously update DFMEA's and PFMEA's while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineering, production engineering, and R&D.
Quality Control Plans: Define, establish, and own the Quality Control plans for each process operation.
Quality Monitoring: Set up quality monitoring procedures and KPIs, evaluate performance, and propose improvements, including process capability metrics such as SPC and Cpk.
Quality Gate Reviews: Participate in quality gate reviews during the industrialization phase of Product Development to ensure reliable manufacturing.
Quality Testing Plans: Oversee the Quality Control and testing plan, review results, and initiate improvement projects, ensuring the plan encompasses process performance.
Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities for non-conformity and quality issues, utilizing methodologies such as 8D and non-conformity reporting.
Quality Improvement Projects: Drive quality improvement and optimization projects using Six Sigma methodologies (green or yellow belt).
Collaboration with Customer Quality Engineers: Work closely with customer quality engineers to provide necessary inputs for customer projects, including PPAP documentation.
Standard Procedures: Develop, implement, and audit standard procedures and instructions for quality assurance.
Training Production Staff: Train production staff on quality control plans and PFMEA.
Requirements:
Educational Background: MSc degree in Chemistry, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in high-volume assembly or production, with knowledge in MSA, DMAIC, DoE, PPAP, and control plan development.
Certifications: Certified Six Sigma professional (green or black belt) with a solid understanding of statistics and multivariate data analysis.
Quality Management Knowledge: Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM, and experience in relevant industries (e.g., battery, automotive, pharma, food).
Project Management Skills: Proven track record of leading quality improvement or Six Sigma projects in manufacturing or with suppliers.
Training Development: Experience in developing training and certification procedures and programs.
Specific Skills:
Excellent English written and oral communication skills; Swedish is a plus.
Highly organized, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
Expert in non-conformity management and 8D methodologies.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
