Production Safety Engineer

We are looking for a Production Safety Engineer to join our team in Västerås. The Production Safety Engineer will participate in or drive projects, investigations, and actions with the purpose to solve problems and increase efficiency in manufacturing. help production improve through risk identification and reduction on established projects at existing plants. You'll identify future problems and work to eliminate them. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential risks. You'll also work to ensure safety regulation compliance. Participate in solving quality problems. Participate in or lead implementations of new equipment. Develop training material and train staff in Process Safety principles and methods, SOP and WI.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process safety issues
Provide risk assessment through the use of risk analysis techniques and tools
Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes
Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases
Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards
Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents
Assess and analyze manufacturing and suggest actions to improve efficiency or initiate problem solving
Design and implement cost-reductive changes
Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently
Drive actions or projects to improve efficiency in manufacturing
Participate in or drive projects for new equipment.
Support managers in setting up ways of working in manufacturing related Process safety.
