Volvo Powertrain is the Strategic Centre for powertrain issues in the Volvo Group.The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions and driven axles, including development, manufacturing, sourcing, partnership, installation service and support in close co-operation with the customers.Volvo Powertrain has operations in Sweden, France and North- and South America. Volvo Powertrain Sweden is looking for a Supplier Quality Improvement - Production Support Manager, Köping Job description The PS Manager is responsible for planning, executing and follow-up of all supplier quality improvement activities within Köping operations in Volvo Powertrain Sweden.In this capacity, he/she will manage four individuals and is a member of the SQI VPT Sweden management team and will be located in Köping.The PS Manager reports to the Divisional SQI Manager and will cooperate extensively with other SQI Managers at other Volvo Powetrain plants globally.SQI-function is part of the Purchasing organization. Examples of responsibilities include to plan, budget, manage and follow-up Köping PS activities.Other responsibilities include ensuring Köping manufacturing operations will run free from supplier quality related disturbances, coordinate necessary activities with colleagues at Volvo Powertrain's other plants globally.The PS Manager will also work with attracting, retaining and developing talent and secure/allocate necessary resources to carry out the activities at hand.Qualifications The successful candidate will most likely have a M.Sc.or B.Sc in engineering and possess the following experience/personal qualities: The candidate has proven leadership skills with at least 3 years of leadership experience demonstrating a strong track record of professional achievements with an ability to set demanding targets and to motivate teams and individuals, whilst further developing an excellent working climate and atmosphere.The PS Manager has great problem-solving abilities and synthesizing skills.Very good Swedish and English communication skills.Additional language knowledge, e.g.French is considered as a merit.Experience from purchasing activities, preferably within the automotive industry on a global basis is considered a merit.Financially - and computer literate, and knowledge about ISO/TS 16949 and/or QS9000 is also considered a merit. Personal profile: The successful candidate should have a can-do mindset with high drive and energy.He/she have strong interpersonal skills/abilities with a high degree of "flexibility", including a strong ability to network effectively across a diverse organization and to build relationships across functional areas and regions globally.High social skills are needed as the successful candidate will have daily supplier contacts on many different organizational levels.The PS Manager must be willing/able to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.At Volvo Powertrain we are actively working to establish groupings that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality, etc.Due to current personnel structure we especially welcome female applicants for this position.
