HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.

Your responsibilities
You will play a key role in the improvement work and be able to establish clear goals and implement projects that affect our production sections.
You will also work closely with employees and drive the improvement of production flows, systems and working methods.
You will work with support and optimization of MES-system, adding equipment, developing the system and improving the system forward.
Your background
You have a technical automation background and at least a few years of work experience or a corresponding University degree.
Experience in workshop environment is necessary.
You have competence in the ”smart factory”, i. e. understand and handle production equipment that is connected and communicates with each other.
You have experience of connecting equipment to MES-system. Experience in OPC-UA is an advantage.
Experience in programming connected power tools is a merit.
As a person, you are thorough, independent, responsible and structured.
With production technical responsibility and instances of international contacts with other units within Hitachi Energy and external suppliers, good communication skills are required in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
