Production Unit Manager

Business Unit (BU) Energy, within Tube Division and belonging to Alleima, is a world leading producer and supplier of advanced products for the most demanding applications within the energy sector, producing tubular forms of corrosion resistant alloys based on stainless steel, nickel, titanium and zirconium. We are now looking for a Production Unit Manager for our Oil & Gas unit Sandviken. In this role you will lead and develop an organization of approximately 160 employees, taking on challenges both short term and long term.
Your Role
As Production Unit Manager (PU Manager) for Oil & Gas in Sandviken you have the overall responsibility for the unit’s performance, and you will mainly focus on the following areas:
Develop people and organization towards operational excellence
Drive safety, delivery precision and quality to meet our customers’ expectations
Focus on productivity and cost efficiency to strengthen our competitive advantage
Drive process and production development in line with our innovation program
Lead manufacturing investments
Interact and cooperate with key customers and other important internal stakeholders to develop an efficient supply chain.



You report to the Business Unit manager and are part of the global BU management team. The role is located in Sandviken.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong manufacturing background in combination with a successful track record in leadership positions where you have truly made a difference as an inclusive and coaching leader delivering results. You are skilled in working with Lean manufacturing, organizational development and change management in a production environment. If you have experience in implementing new manufacturing processes it is advantageous. As a senior manager for a business critical and complex manufacturing system you lead your team and develop people, striving for results with a focus on continuous improvement. You set clear targets and a structured plan, you execute on those plans together with your organization and key stakeholders.
You are driven by a business mindset with strong result focus and with good ability to understand organizational as well as technical challenges. A hands-on approach in driving productivity and cost efficiency is a central part of your leadership.
Knowledge of Tube production is not mandatory, but advantageous. You have good skills in English and Swedish, in both writing and speaking.
