The curriculum at the Umeå Institute of Design consists of a three-year bachelor programme taught in Swedish, and three, two-year Masters' programmes taught in English.In the fall term of 2006, the institute has a projected enrolment of ca 130 students, as well as a staff of ca 35.The Umeå Institute of Design works in close collaboration with industry, both in the study programmes as well as in the expanding field of applied research.Within these research programmes, applied research is financed by some of Sweden's largest industries.Professor in Industrial Design with focus on Advanced Product Design We are currently seeking applicants for a full time position as professor of Industrial Design with a focus on Product Design.Duties will include serving as professor and programme leader for the Masters programme in Advanced Product Design.The professorship contains advanced product design with emphasis on innovation and strategic issues in connection to development of many different types of products and services.
