This fully-funded professorship is based at the Department of Ecology that is part of the SLU Ecology Centre together with the Department of Crop Production Ecology, https://www.slu.se/en/departments/ecology/ovrigt/ecology-centre/. Research and education at the Ecology Centre focuses on food and animal feed production, biomass and energy and how these interact with the environment. We explore how environmental conditions, ecology interactions and cultivation system designs affect not only yields and ecosystem services, but also product quality. The SLU Ecology Centre is a Nordic and European hub for sustainable agriculture, crop and environmental protection, wildlife management, honey bee health and forestry.
