Professor/professor stipend in "Media and child and youth competence development" On the positions and duties: The position is vacant in the Research Centre for Child and Youth Competence Development, with a special responsibility for Media and child and youth competence development.The Research Csentre is organised across two college faculties: the faculty for Health and Social Science and the education department at the Faculty for Humanities, Sport and Social Science.The successful applicant will primarily work in the Research Centre's group of cross-disciplinary researchers.In addition, it is expected that the appointed person will support the faculty's activity in the field of Media and child and youth competence development.The university college work condition comprises 45% research and research related activities, 10% administration and 45% teaching and teaching related tasks in position as Professor.If there are no qualified applicants to the post of professor, a professor stipend for up to 3 years can be offered with 70% research time, 5 % administration time and 25% teaching tasks.The appointment of the professor stipend will take place in accordance with the University and College Act 6-5, which states that a temporary appointment is possible "when the person, in the estimation of the employers, possesses the skills to acquire the necessary qualifications in the course of the period of employment".The person appointed has after 3 years the right to be assessed for a permanent post as professor before it is once again re-advertised.Research an research related activities The holder of the professorship/professor stipend will especially contribute through their research, to the strengthening of the Research Centre's cross-disciplinary competence in the field of child and youth development of digital competence within and/or across one or more of the following contexts for child and youth participation: the family, peer groups, kindergarten and school, as well as society's organisation of child and youth initiatives to meet their needs for social care and psycho-social health and well-being.The successful applicant must be prepared to participate in cross-disciplinary research projects together with other researchers and stipend scholars at the Research Centre for Child and Youth Competence Development.Furthermore, the person appointed as professor will contribute to the procurement of funding for research projects.Teaching and teaching related tasks In addition to tutorial supervision and the teaching of the Research Centre's doctoral students, the person appointed will teach on faculty programs that qualify applicants to apply for the Centre's doctoral program.Some of the teaching can be held in English.As part of the teaching related activity the holder of the professor stipend will contribute to the development of courses at master and doctoral level in their respective field of expertise.Read more at: http://www.universitetsjobb.se/index.php?page=advert&advertid=2010
