Program and Communications Manager SSE Business Lab

Arbetsbeskrivning

About the role
As a Program & Communications Manager for SSE Business Lab, you will be working to attract and retain the best startups to our programs.

Your goal will be to increase the number of startups applying, by increasing the quality of the programs, as well as the awareness of the incubator across multiple channels. You will also work closely with our current startups as well as the small team at the Business Lab, and be hands-on in everything from the communications strategy to the content creation. This is a broad and flexible role where you will be given a lot of responsibility and develop both the programs and how they are communicated.

Work responsibilities
Just as in start-ups, you experiment, learn, problem-solve, and adjust as you go. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Recruiting: Recruit new startups to the programs through communications on social media, events and relationship-building activities.
- Communicating: Work closely with the startups and programs to discover new ways to communicate the value creation of the programs, as well as the achievements of the startups, and implement them into a communications strategy.
- Creating: Continuously create engaging creatives across multiple channels for attracting new startups, including project leading any new initiatives that fit into your strategy.
- Exploring: Explore the current and future needs of our startups, recognize growth opportunities and act on them to create value together with the Program Managers.
- Organizing: Organize internal and external knowledge exchange events and manage the communications before and after the event.

Is this you?
This is a role for someone who is a natural problem-solver and doer. You are likely to be described as an autonomous and responsible person, who is eager to learn new things and adapt to new environments. You are flexible, service-minded and enjoy working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial team. We believe that you are at the beginning of your career, with some experience from the start-up world and with a strong interest in startups and marketing, design and/or event management.

Requirements
- Startup experience: You have a strong interest in following the startup scene and experience from working with a startup/incubator and/or for a Venture Capital fund.
- Communications experience: Experience creating content or other communications material such as press releases, creatives or similar.
- Communicative: You will be juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and are expected to constantly share information in a way where you are understood. You should therefore be confident in clear and concise communication, both spoken and written in English.

Meritorious
- Experience recruiting startups (in an incubator, accelerator, chamber of commerce or similar)
- Experience working with supporting startups (in an incubator, accelerator, chamber of commerce or similar)
- Experience communicating about startups (as a journalist, blogger, podcaster, marketing manager or similar)
- Experience working with event management and communication related to it.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Swedish.

Other
This is a full-time, permanent position (a 6-month probation period applies). We are looking for this position to begin as soon as possible, and are accepting applications on an ongoing-basis.  We apply an ongoing selection, so don’t wait to submit your application.
