We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of an Program Configuration Manager with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
As Program Configuration Manager, you will be in charge of the planning, administration, and coordination of software deliveries from all of our R&D design areas. At the Configuration Release Board meeting, you will be involved in all stages of the software release chain, from pre-delivery activities to software approval and distribution (CRB).
You will collaborate closely with other PCMs, integration leaders, and integration test engineers on a cross-functional iTeam. You will also plan and coordinate integration testing of base tech software in boxcars with the team. You will also have an interface to all of the delivering areas across the entire electrical system, giving you a broad network across R&D.
You will also be responsible for the creation, release, and distribution of documented software configurations to our test objects and production vehicles.
Furthermore, we are involved in the development of modern Configuration Management tools, which support the entire chain for the integration and release of SW within Volvo Cars.
Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering Software configuration management experience
Software development experience
PIE R&D knowledge KDP system knowledge
Upstream and/or downstream SW development and/or handling within Volvo Cars
Knowledge of branch design, labelling, and tracking issues
Experience with software and system design is preferred, as is experience with electrical automotive development and vehicle programmes as a software responsible or lead engineer.
