Inclusive Business Sweden is looking for a new Program Coordinator to help support the delivery of one of its current programs. You have previous business administration support and team coordinating experience - ideally including experience from living or working in an African context. Speaking Swedish is a plus and you need to be based out of Gothenburg due to the nature of the project.
Who is Inclusive Business Sweden
Inclusive Business Sweden’s mission is to transform markets to meet global development needs. We engage and support businesses in developing sustainable, innovative and inclusive business models that can reduce poverty and improve living conditions for the poor. Since 2013, we have been working towards our goals by delivering collaborative program and direct business services, both locally and globally.
IBS serves as a platform for the acceleration of inclusive business initiatives across Sweden as well as globally. We have delivered programs for and with our clients and partners including Sida, the Asian Development Bank, the European Union, Unilever, IKEA, Vinnova, Tillväxtverket, Nordic Innovation, Research Institutes of Sweden, the Nordic Development Fund, Startup Foundation and the Stockholm Environmental Institute – just to name a few.
To date, we have worked to have impact across 14 countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Asia, and enabled approximately 140 businesses through our programs.
We are Swedish-based with a global outlook with a global core team with representatives from Sweden, Kenya, Mexico, Spain and Australia and Ghana.

The Fantastic Role
As a program coordinator for an Inclusive Business Sweden project, you will take a leadership role in supporting the program manager in delivering program activities that seek to create long-term supports to Nordic businesses in developing scalable and impactful business models towards developing markets –focused on impact-businesses in Africa. You are experienced, structured, proactive, flexible, passionate with strong written communication skills and digital setups.
More specifically the role will involve:
· Program coordination for and delivery of assigned project to develop inclusive business support for SMEs in developing markets
· Workshop facilitation both digitally and in person.
· Budget support and management support
· Program reporting and evaluation
· Business development for new programs and clients
· Consulting services to clients
· Lead external communications through multiple channels
The Fantastic Candidate
We are looking for a passionate and experienced person with at least 3+ years of experience in the fields of business, entrepreneurship, international trade, development, project management and/or sustainability. Specifically, if you have experience in Africa and speak Swedish, even better!
The candidate should be:
· Fluent in English (Swedish and French is a plus but not required)
· Proven program/project management and coordination skills
· Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant field (business, global studies, etc)
· Experience in working with developing markets (ideally Africa)
· Consulting skills – an ability to run workshops, advise clients, etc
· Willing and able to travel
The following qualities are also highly desirable:
· Experience in working as an entrepreneur or with entrepreneurs
· Strong financial skills – able to develop and manage budgets
· Strong written communication skills – experience with making project applications, analyses and/or reports desirable
· Track record of securing new business
· Strong business / professional network in Africa/developing countries
· Online communication skills
