Job Description
We are looking for a Director Program Manager to join our Infrastructure group within Platform area in IFS R&D.
At the Infrastructure group, we design, create and maintain the infrastructure, along with fundamental functionality like authentication, installation, deployment and observability. The teams operate within the Cloud Native space and work according to DevOps principles. As Director Program Manager, you will have the responsibility to ensure execution and delivery of items on our roadmap for the whole Infrastructure group and to drive continuous improvements, and be a central part of our Cloud Native journey. The infrastructure group today consists of four teams.
The Infrastructure group's responible areas are critical for the product that we develop, so you will work with many stakeholders across the R&D organization and externally. You will be responsible for effective product communication and reporting, stakeholder management, change management and the facilitation of collaboration amongst teams.
The job includes this, but not limited to:
Overall program planning and scheduling for the group
Understanding dependencies, supporting alignment and collaboration between product groups
Escalation, risk mitigation and issue resolution
Communication of scope, progress, state and required actions
Continuous improvement of processes
A program manager works with all aspects of the development cycle, from scope definition, design, estimating, planning, scheduling of resources, through to the actual development, testing, quality assurance, delivery to market and ongoing support.
Qualifications
To be a successful as Program Manager in the Platform area, having a positive attitude and a “can-do” mindset is key. We expect you to “think outside the box” and be a front runner when it comes to challenging the status quo in the strive for improvements.
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree and a proven track record for working in a cloud-first environment. You have experience with Program Management and have a passion for taking something from start to finish, and handling everything in between that can and will happen. If you have experience with Kubernetes, DevOps, agile development, managing teams and owning a backlog, then it's even better!
Your background is maybe in complex IT project management, software engineering, software architecture, systems engineering, DevOps engineering or similar. You have the ability to understand technical details especially when it comes to cloud deployment and are able to confirm requirements and tasks with key individuals.
Together with Program and Product managers from across R&D, you can translate details and requirements into agreed plans. At the same time, your experience enables you to ask questions like “What if?”, “How do we ensure that?”, “Have you considered?”.
To be able to handle this role you will have to work effectively in an internationally distributed, multi-cultural team. You are highly self-motivated and proactive, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You have a strong drive to get yourself and others to achieve tasks and overcome problems. You are able to interact effectively at all levels in the organization.
