The Opportunity
As Program Manager you work with the integrated product teams to manage and track cost, schedule, scope and technical performance of the projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the overall product team’s program. The program manager evangelizes and ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables in compliance with the New Product Generation and governance processes.
The Job
Lead multiple software development projects that are complex in nature, involving for example, a disparate multi-disciplinary team, up to $10M+, 6-18+ months duration, new technology, multiple unknowns
Drive the end-to-end integration of consistent project management and product life cycle management methodologies, best practices and common terminology across the organization
Regularly capture, analyze and communicate project- and program-level status, performance and financial metrics
Act as mediator to achieve win-win scenarios across various stakeholders
Lead a post-mortem process for each project to ensure lessons learned are well communicated and incorporated into future projects
What Skills You Bring
PMP certification or equivalent; extremely well versed in project management standards, methodologies, and best practices and feels comfortable in teaching and mentoring others
Excellent written and presentation skills to senior and executive management
Execution and results orientation who effectively rallies the team around a common business goal, creates a sense of urgency, builds an agreed-upon plan and then drives results
Well developed influencing, problem-solving, collaboration and organizational skills
Hands-on experience with ERP for Project Management and dashboards desirable (i.e., SAP Project Systems / PPM)
Proven expertise in leading complex technical projects through all the process areas while effectively managing cross-functional and multi-cultural teams across multiple geographies
Capable of generating, analyzing and communicating a meaningful project status and summary report (including scope, cost, schedule, quality) and metrics (i.e., CPI, SPI, EV, ES) at each gate to various stakeholders
Demonstrated knowledge in quantitative risk analysis and process, out of bounds and change control board process, communication strategies, and estimating
Very familiar with software development environment and product life cycle management and NPI processes, best practices and terminology
