Arbetsbeskrivning
Following success in establishing international research collaboration, and among others, securing EU funding in a number of projects, we are looking for a Program Manager for International Research Collaborations to lead collaborative initiatives at departmental and academic levels. Are you our new colleague?
The Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at the University of Borås has been in operation for 50 years and is one of the leading research environments in its field, both nationally and internationally. SSLIS provides educational programs at bachelor, master and PhD levels. It also hosts a vibrant and stimulating research environment with typically around 10 to 20 doctoral students. Currently, the institute comprises 75 members, including five (5) full professors, three (3) active professors emerita, six (6) associated professors and further 24 senior lecturers with PhD degrees. The department hosts two core scholarly journals including the journal Information Research, an international open access journal that is indexed in multiple scholarly databases including the Web of Science. There are also a number of research groups, laboratories, and research centres associated with the department. In recent years, we have participated in 9 EU-funded projects and been the coordinator for two of these. This trend is likely to continue with plans for expanded collaborations locally, nationally and internationally.
SSLIS is part of the Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT, where, in addition to library and information science, education and research are conducted in pedagogical work as well as business and IT.
