ABB is a pioneer and the recognized market leader in the FACTS (flexible alternating current transmission systems) field. The unit is building its future Engineering environment through, a program in the area of digital product development for Grid & Power Quality Solutions, GPQS based on PLM and a set of engineering tools.
Your responsibilities
You will be the technical project manager for the Model Based Enterprise Program (MBE), coaching an international team of approximately 10 people based in Västerås and Chennai.
Responsible for introducing digital product development tools and processes throughout GPQS
Creating and managing short- and long-term goals as well as reporting to stakeholders
Managing dependencies between different authoring tools
Ensuring customer value in the planned deliverables to the organization
Ensuring transparency of requirements, risks and changes and continuously report status stakeholders
Ensuring projects follow the set agile execution methodology, follow up on costs, schedule and performance

Your background
You hold minimum a Bachelor degree in engineering or IT
You have previous experience working as a technical project manager or project manager, certified PMP, Prince or APICS will be considered as an advantage. Your background can be from the IT sector, automotive, aviation or rail.
If you have experience working with complex plants, it will be considered as an advantage.
Deep knowledge in PLM, BIM and engineering tools
Readiness to travel up to 30% of the time
Understanding of engineering processes and the connection to a PLM environment
Previous experience in leading strategic international projects with globally located stakeholders.
You are fluent in English, both speaking and writing
For this role it`s important that you have strong change management skills and have a proven track record of leading a team towards a common goal.
