JOB TITLE: Programme Associate, SDG 6
REPORTS TO: Global Coordinator, Water Solutions for the SDGs
TEAM: Network Operations
SALARY SCALE: E2 / Associate
LOCATION: GWPO Secretariat, Stockholm, Sweden
START DATE: February, 2021 (1-year contract)
The Program Associate, SDG 6 will work together with a small team directly comprised of 5 other staff as well as interns, while also backstopping teams across the Network “from behind”. The position is located within the Water Solutions for the SDGs, GWP Secretariat's Network Operations team, and reports to the Global Coordinator, Water Solutions for the SDGs.
The Program Associate, SDG 6 is responsible for providing administrative, communicative, programmatic and fundraising support in implementing the program to monitor progress on SDG 6.5, and in designing and implementing IWRM action plans that aim to increase progress towards that target.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on project experience in supporting the implementation of international development programs, ideally focused on water resources management, preferably in a developing country context;
Experience with building partnerships with a range of stakeholders including but not limited to the public and private sector, global international organizations, the private sector, civil society and academia;
Exposure to the global agenda on water resources in the context of the 2030 Agenda an advantage.
Qualifications
University / Master's degree (or equivalent through work experience) in a water- or development-related field or in international affairs, communications or business.
