Programme Officer focused on M&E to Plan International Sweden

Plan International Sweden are looking for a Programme Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) Team at the Programme Department. MEAL is all vital to the ambition of the Plan Federation Global Strategy. The work underpins Plan's support to delivery of effective and accountable gender-transformative programmes.

As a Programme M&E Officer you will have the following key responsibilities:

Overall lead for the Quarterly Monitoring process where all projects under implementation are monitored in terms of progress in implementation. This includes:

- Planning, preparation and leading of the quarterly monitoring sessions (4-5 sessions/quarter);
- Analyses of quarterly monitoring reports and aggregation into one report summarising the quarter.

Coordination and focal point for Plan International Sweden’s take on of PMERL (Plan International’s digital Project Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning system). This entails:

- Support in the training of Plan Sweden’s programme staff
- Coordination with the Global Hub and other Plan International Offices
- Planning and executing the rollout of the system at Plan Sweden
- Provide support to Plan International colleagues (in Sweden and in our Country Offices) in utilising the system

Contribution and support in implementing other parts of the MEAL Team’s plan of action (verksamhetsplan)


We are looking for a candidate with:

-
Academic degree in political science, peace and conflict, social science, gender, or other relevant field of study;

-
Genuine interest and preferably some previous experience from working with issues related to development effectiveness (as defined by OECD/DAC), Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and/or Results-Based Monitoring (RBM);

Strong analytical skills and excellent writing skills in Swedish and English.

Excellent ability to structure and plan a variety of working tasks; an eye for details;

Good knowledge in and demonstrated experience of using Excel in data analyses and presentations of findings.

About the position

The position is a temporary position (1 year) on a full-time basis which corresponds to 37.5h/week. Starting date in August. The position is based in Stockholm. The position includes travel to countries where Plan International Sweden has program cooperation.
