The position
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work for a leading and fast-paced content organization within the media and streaming industry. Viaplay’s content programming team is now looking for a Programme Planner that will help us identify new and better ways to optimize our content offering. You will be part of the Viaplay programming team that is responsible for all the content that goes out on the service, and will focus on programming initiatives related to NENTs sport portfolio and Viaplay’s Store (Rent & Buy movies).

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic movie initiatives and be responsible for the content volume plan so Viaplay Rent & Buy has a market-leading offering
- Ensure we get the most out of NENT Sports portfolio from a programming point of view, and work closely with the other planners to ensure that all categories are complementing the full Viaplay schedule
- Responsibility for selecting new movie titles together with external distributors and creating tickets in the case management system JIRA.
- Assist in the identification and selection of sport documentaries to complement our sports offering
- Track ongoing programming statuses, changes of rights and licenses, suggest re-prioritizations, etc
- Drive cross-functional projects to ensure that we drive efficiencies and deliver results
- Conduct customers’ behavior and market trend research, and present new opportunities for content optimization

The Programming team is part of the Content organization at NENT. We ensure NENT’s streaming platform Viaplay has the best possible content offering that can excel and amplify Viaplay’s continued success. Going forward you will be part of ensuring Viaplay will remain one of the leading streaming platforms in the Nordics and the main challenger in our new markets.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a curios and quick learner who can work well independently and in teams. Being able to prioritize tasks efficiently and communicate with your colleagues and external contacts in a clear and pragmatic way to ensure targets are met are critical for success. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and last but not least, you are passionate about content and have a great interest in sports.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

- Have strong analytical skills and the ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines
- Proactively seek out and implement improvements, and/or simplify cross-functional workflows
- Recognize opportunities that can strengthen our content offering and attempt to capture them despite the risk of making mistakes
- Have a great understanding of the current media landscape and digital products
- Preferably have experience in a similar role, but not a must
- Fluent in English (Scandinavian language is a merit)
