What you will be doing
The Project and Revenue Manager is a key part of the Accounting Team who oversees the project and revenue processes on behalf of Avensia in a way that optimizes client relations and improves internal communication. You will report to the Head of Accounting.
This role will also help automate and streamline current functions to prepare Avensia to scale quickly. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to contribute to a high caliber team, learn, and grow a well-rounded accounting and finance skill set.
You will be responsible for:
Manage project and user set-up
Review and support the invoicing process and manage revenue accounting
Be a key point person for providing business value added insights and a thought partner to help scale the revenue operations
Lead operational improvement initiatives to further streamline our revenue process
Provide guidance and assist with daily questions from co-workers in regard to project and revenue processes
Analyze customer accounts, evaluate problems and provide recommended course of action
Check closing of time reports
Educate the organization regarding the project and revenue process
Have a significant role in the implementation of projects & operations (D365)
Other ad hoc tasks



Who are you
You are a team-player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional business partners to evaluate customer contracts. You have excellent communication, organizational, time management and analytical skills. You have a positive, “can do” attitude, who is ready to jump in, connect the dots, and make things happen. You excel in a fast-paced environment and have a strong inclination of building standard, simple and automated processes.
You are also a self-starter who can work independently but always with the team effort in mind. Always on the hunt for ways to help out, you proactively address issues and tasks to ensure ultimate attention and completion. You both understand and appreciate the need for clean and auditable financial records in order to enable rapid and well-informed decision making.
To be successful in the role we believe that you also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Revenue and/or Project Accounting experience
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams
Ability to work within strict deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong attention to detail and taking ownership of assigned tasks
Continuous improvement mindset
Previous experience participating on ERP or financial system implementations and/ or upgrades is meriting
Microsoft Dynamics 365 system experience preferred
