The University of Gothenburg tackles society's challenges with diverse knowledge. 37 000 students and 6 000 employees make the university a large and inspiring place to work and study. The department of Computer Science and Engineering is strongly international, with approximately 80 faculty and 70 PhD students from 30 countries. The position is placed in the Software Engineering Division at the department. The successful candidate will work and participate in a research project with respect to model-driven software engineering, in particular on traceability. Domains of interests are embedded systems with a focus on automotive systems. The work will entail supporting the research staff in transforming the research concepts into working software that will be tested by and disseminated to our industrial partners. The project also regards organisational processes and their transformation. The successful candidate is expected to support this work as well.

Typical work tasks will be implementation work in open source Eclipse-based modeling tools, creating examples and demonstrators, and eliciting requirements from industrial partners. If interested, the successful can also participate in the conceptual work done in the projects and support the research directly. This potentially includes taking over explorative research tasks and assisting in paper writing.
The successful applicant is a student at the master level or has recently completed their master studies. Among the courses the student has successfully completed with very good grades is one on Model-Driven Software Engineering or comparable as well as one on Organisation and Management or comparable. The successful applicant has extensive experience in programming, in particular in Java as well as experience with the Eclipse Platform, in requirements engineering, and in embedded or automotive software engineering. Industrial experience or experience working closely with industry is a bonus.
