As Project Buyer you will lead product development projects within the Swedish Purchasing & Supply Management organisation (P&SM). A main task for the job is to secure quality, delivery and cost for purchased parts or components in product development projects. You represent P&SM in the different product development teams and are responsible for all P&SM deliverables in Volvo CE's product development process. The role includes buying parts/components within assigned commodity and to secure direct material within your responsibility area for new development projects. You will have a broad network including contacts within Research & Development Department, Manufacturing, Volvo CE Purchasing, AB Volvo and mainly our Preferred Suppliers. Core Responsibilities: Quality, delivery, and cost for direct material in new product development projects Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) Prototype and pre-serie sourcing Negotiation of development agreements, confidential contracts and "Letter of Intents" Continuously keep track of purchased material and inform P &SM stakeholders about the status in product development projects Secure the P&SM activities in accordance with Volvo CE product development project process Contribute to achievements of the global and regional P&SM key performing indicators Fulfillment of project time plans and targets Required Competencies: Proven purchasing experience (min 3 years) and project management skills Ability to indirect lead team members to reach product development targets and time plans for purchasing Strong communication skills and social competence Team player Creative attitude, energetic and achievement driven Commercial and technical background Business mindset and holistic view Knowledge of up to date supply chain strategies and implementation tools Fluent English and Swedish Education: University Degree or equivalent level of experience Location: Eskilstuna, Hallsberg or Braås
