We are now looking for a committed team member to strengthen Project Purchasing Interior & Exterior as a Buyer and Segment Support. We are responsible for the procurement of a variety of parts and components within new projects – from hoses to suspension solutions and lighting - currently focusing heavily on supporting Scania’s electrification road map.
The Team
You will be part of a team (Project Purchasing Interior & Exterior) that consists of 8 purchasers with different backgrounds, nationalities, gender and experience. We believe that the best decisions are made when everyone voices their opinion and when we take advantage of our different perspectives and approaches. Your main tasks and responsibilities
As a Buyer, you will support some of the team’s Sourcing Managers with a variety of operational and administrative tasks, being involved in every phase of the process. This will give you the chance to contribute from day one, to develop your skills over time, and to learn how to do business. You will have a lot of internal contacts within our cross-function as well as within our international supplier base.
The role is a perfect possibility to start your journey as a Purchasing Professional.
Tasks:
• Procurement of prototypes:
• sending requests for quotation
• negotiating commercial and other aspects
• alignment with R&D regarding specifications and requirements
• follow-up of deliveries and deviation handling
• Segment support for hose segment:
• support with various operational and administrative tasks
• follow-up of supplier’s industrialization of newly awarded parts
• conducting sourcings and technical change requests with lower complexity
• part of the wider team working with hoses at Purchasing, contributing to the development within this area with your ideas
Your profile
• preferably a degree in engineering, business or relevant experience
• interest in both technology and business
• analytical, structured and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
• take own initiatives and ability to work independently in alignment with others
• supportive and ability to cooperate with a variety of individuals
• fluent in spoken and written English
