ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Project buyer for Metallic pipes, you will be accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) of suppliers in your portfolio. You will be responsible to continuously securing supplier QDCFTSR performance by using the tools and purchasing/cross functional network during your projects.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Develop the Sourcing plan for components & systems according to cross-functional time plans
Manage Sourcing activities in project phase
Drive the supplier selection process
Secure that supplier selection is in line with expectations (quality, cost, sustainability etc.)
Secure the outcome of the Sourcing in a contractual package
Monitor, identify and mitigate risks in the Project phase
Ensure that the supplier and its supply chain is prepared for production
Manage all project related supplier relations (meetings, documents, feedback)
Member in all cross functional teams and leader of some
Bring innovation in your scope and actively contribute to the VOLVO Transformation journey

Your main qualifications can be summarized as:
University degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in engineering or business
Several years of Purchasing experience, preferably in automotive
Fluent English (spoken and written) is a must
Excellent communication and networking skills with positive attitude
Creative and solution-oriented mindset
Accountable, self-driven and autonomous
Structured way of working
Negotiation skills
Proven ability to establish targets and drive results
Analytical skills with ease on Office/IT tools
