GTP Electronics, Electromechanics & Autonomous (EEA) Purchasing being the Strategic Line for Purchasing in transformational scopes such as Active & Passive Safety, Automation, Electromechanics and Thermal Management along with Electronics. We organize a strong collaboration within teams with global spread. Still, we operate close to the center of development in these domains, which is in Gothenburg. The Automation Purchasing Team, with the responsibility in Active & Passive Safety along with Automation, is responsible to drive end-to-end Purchasing activities whilst securing Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management targets for Volvo Truck Brands, Volvo Bus and Volvo Autonomous Solutions.

We are now looking for a curious and engaged Buyer to our team. We want someone that has the passion to be part of Volvo Group’s mission to drive prosperity through transport solutions. Through a responsible purchasing, we will be influencing how we care for our planet. This includes developing and exploring new and optimized ways of doing business, new technologies and arising partners and/or suppliers
You will also be an active part of future concepts design and decision, which will support the segments towards reaching its wanted position. This will require interacting with an extensive network, leading and advising in HW & SW purchasing decisions

Perform on the solutions definition, project implementation and product deliveries, securing the purchasing KPIs: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, Technology, Sustainability & Risk Management.
Be part of the transformation journey we are in, without losing track on the daily performance
You will be making business in a highly performing senior team. The team manages products like sensors (radars, cameras, lidars, ultrasonics), sensor cleaning systems, computation nodes, SW algorithms, teleoperation HW & SW, Maps, GNSS. You will be part of a selection of business cases to support our customers. Always performed together with colleagues from the team and our main close stake holders, like engineering, solutions sales and manufacturing. In our team you will have the power to define the strategy for the scope and execute the same into business and technology tangible results.
We lead the relationship in large scale partnerships who support Volvo in Active Safety and Automation (like Nvidia and Aurora). But you will also have the task to find and build relationship with major automotive Tier1s and Tech start-ups.
Here is what we are looking for to complete our high-performance team:
This role calls for the ones that have and like to explore a combination of commercial and technical skills. You are likely to have a background in either business, development, technical sales or similar. If you have knowledge and experience of from the industry including a track record from an OEM, Automotive Tier1 or solution provider, it is of course a strong asset and we should be a good match.
Business acumen
Ability to comprehend, evaluate, and compare SW/HW and development efforts
Experience or interest in Intellectual Property Rights, licensing models and license agreements
Basic knowledge in agile way-of-working
Experience from automotive industry
Fluent skills in English - both written and spoken
Degree in Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science and/or Business Administration
