Project Controller

Floatel International Ltd has placed turn key contracts with Keppel FELS Shipyard, Singapore for delivery in 2010 of two newbuild semi submersible accommodation vessels. Its subsidiary, Floatel International AB has a long term agreement with its parent company to provide operational, technical and personnel management services. The Project Controller is responsible for the day to day administrative control of the project to which he has been assigned. The position reports to the Project Manager. The main responsibilities will be; - Responsible for the cost control and all other financial aspects of the project. - Responsible for monitoring of the progress of the project and for producing necessary plans for the execution of the project; - Overall responsibility for the registering and filing of all project related documentation and correspondence. The work is to manage and supervise the Document Control assistants; - Manage procurement of equipment and services needed for the project; - Develop procedures and routines according to company management manual, with regards to all project related activities; - Supervise all project interfaces with other parts of the Company; - Responsible to produce various reports such as cost, engineering and project progress reports; - Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with requirements relating to health, safety, quality and profitability. We are seeking a dedicated individual with the following qualifications; - Higher education, Technical or Economic degree (minimum BSc). Ideally a combination of both. - Good computer skills (Word and Excel), experience in working with MS Project is a plus. - Good communication skills and are comfortable with working in an international environment. - Excellent command of English, spoken and written - Relevant experience from similar work is a plus - Experience from the Offshore or Marine industry is a plus For more information about Floatel International and about this position, please visit our website at www.floatel.se
