Project Controller

Grid Automation is looking for a Project Controller to join the Network Control team. Grid Automation is one of Hitachi Energy’s business units that provides solutions to address all key segments connected to the energy system including generation, transmission distribution, industries, transportation, and infrastructure sectors. As a Project Controller at Grid Automation Network Control, you will be a part of the project controlling team and you will have great opportunities to create a broad network internally as well as externally.
Your main tasks in this role will be project controlling and management on the financials of specific projects. Currently, the team is working on approximately 200 different projects ranging from small to large and complex projects up to around 180 million SEK. The projects are mainly located in EMEA and Europe, with some projects also in other geographical locations.
As a Project Controller you will work in close connection to several stakeholders and give support to the organization. Therefore, we see that you are a driven person that enjoys working both as part of a team and independently. Your responsibilities will require you to have an eye for detail while also possessing the ability to see the bigger picture of your projects and interpret different perspectives. Since you will be managing some difficult and complex projects, you will also need good problem-solving skills to succeed.
Your Responsibilities
Manage all project controlling and financial management activities.
Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
Act as a business partner to advise and support the organization in areas related to future state financial performance including finance consulting and coaching.
Provide financial insight on market conditions, competitors, and alternative business scenarios.
Improve the quality of internal and external financial data to drive business decision making and performance.
Forecasting cash and revenue on the financials for the projects that you are responsible for and handle bonds and guarantees management.
Hedges of different currencies and calculation on FX effects.

Your Background
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related area.
Previous experience from working with project controlling is required. Work experience in related area such as business controlling, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or similar will be advantageous.
Analytical skills and a strong understanding of project management principles are essential.
Good knowledge of SAP and MS Excel is preferred.
English, both written and spoken, is required. Swedish is considered an advantage.
