We are now looking for a curious & ambitious Project Controller to our team in Södertälje.
Project Controlling and Analysis is a group within Business Control (XK) and the Corporate unit, Industrial Operations, which also includes departments such as Production and Logistics, Research and Development, Purchasing, Demand to Cash and Scania's Project Office.
Project Controlling & Analysis has the responsibility of managing all the financial aspects of development projects and provide project managers and management with financial support, decision material and analysis. We work within a broad domain of areas, covering E-mobility, Autonomous solutions, next generation of conventional powertrain as well as strategic topics outside of the normal project flow.
Job Description
You will act as the Finance expert and co-pilot to Project Management in several projects of varying size and content, connected to Scania’s future product and service portfolio.
This is an ideal position for anyone who wants to get a complete and detailed understanding of the entire Scania and TRATON product development portfolio, which contains projects developing all the future solutions needed for the transportation industry.
Main Responsibilities:
• Project Profitability Calculations, and to challenge the project expected benefits
• Explaining Project Economics and the logic behind our Business Cases to Senior Management
• Prepare and sign off the Financial material in your projects to relevant decision forums (ExBoard/PQ/PDC etc)
• Ad-hoc questions: Everything from small isolated questions to complex analyses connected to our future product portfolio
The work is highly cross-functional, and you will have a close collaboration internally at Scania with all business areas. You will also be operating in an international environment, collaborating with Finance colleagues from TRATON and MAN, and a strong team playing spirit is essential to be successful.
Your Profile
The person we are looking for understands the big picture but does not shy away from zooming into detail when necessary. You have advanced communication and presentation skills. You also have a large industrial understanding and see it as a challenge to connect the dots between technical, commercial and financial matters. You have a master’s degree in the field of business or relevant experience. We are looking for both senior and junior members to our team, and hence welcome applications with all levels of experience.
Most work is conducted in close connection with large parts of the Scania organization, and it is therefore vital that you like working within large networks. You are prepared to work cross-functionally and represent the department in several top management forums. Your level of proficiency in English is advanced and ideally also your Swedish. Additionally, any level of proficiency in German is a major benefit.
