Project Development Manager

WHO YOU ARE
The foundation to your career is either in Project Management, Construction or Asset Management which has led to over 7 years of full cycle experience in shopping centre development internationally. Additionally, for 10 years you have held a management position with proven leadership skills and have delivered at least 1 project from pre-study up to handover, involving site selections, concept design preparation, leasing, marketing, construction and tenants’ fit out processes.
Additionally, you are;
• Motivated by searching and grasping business opportunities. Taking ownership and responsibility to influence business results of the organization.
• Experienced in Progressive Property/Asset development (Identification and creation opportunities beyond vacant land).
• Able to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and excel under pressure.
• Motivated by growing people - sharing your knowledge to see others succeed in their tasks/efforts - to mentor & coach others around you.
• Financially skilled allowing effective monitoring of the project execution process and report relevant risks, KPIs & VPIs to the steering bodies.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
As our Project Development Manager you are responsible for timely opening of a new asset (redevelopment of existing asset) in the defined market, supporting a growth of IKEA store, within the budget and with expected quality to achieve our long-term strategy “Meeting place Approach”, respecting the defined concept and design.
Amongst other things you will:
• Recruit, build and secure that project team has necessary professional competence and expertise to deliver such project to a required commercial, construction and financial result.
• Use your Leadership skills to establish effective cooperation with all stakeholders and partners during project development, including local authorities, to secure project execution targets are met within expected quality, time and budget.
• Support team during conceptional phase integrating all value drivers from Concept Design, Meeting Place Making to Sustainability & Digital.
• Plan & coordinate execution according to the agreed concept design and commercial brief incorporating & adapting to leasing inputs as well as incorporate licenses requirements, identify deviation risks and make corrective action decisions.
• Engage the whole execution team in a proactive attitude towards innovation and adaptation to a constantly changing environment from consumers expectation to tenants’ requirements.
• Build trust and constructive relationship with regional & local authorities as well as with all stakeholders.
In this role you will be reporting into Christophe Mouton at Ingka Centres, and be based in Malmö, Sweden.
