Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Engineer to join our passionate NV Ett Program team in Stockholm/Skelleftea.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
As a Project Engineer in the NV Ett Program team, you will work with the Senior Project Manager as well as other leaders of the project to support the establishment Northvolt’s large-scale battery factory in Northern Sweden. Your initial responsibility will be to drive the execution of the second block of the Downstream scope, which includes activities in different functions such as Construction, Procurement, Logistics, Process design, Automation and hand-over to manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage, drive and coordinate critical tasks/workstreams to support the delivery of the second downstream block
Collaborate cross-functionally to support on readiness and execution for the installation and commissioning phases of the process equipment
Work with the planning team to ensure a solid time plan and follow-up on risks and/or obstructions to find mitigating actions
Support on cost control and change management
The person we are looking for is goal oriented, curious, eager to learn and a great team player. You are used to working proactive and goes beyond expectations, has a can-do attitude and enjoys a fast-paced environment. As part of the NV Ett Programs team the Downstream team consists of five people working closely together. Our key objective is to ensure the establishment of the Downstream scope – which is where the actual production of electrodes and battery cells takes place – on time, and within budget and now we are looking for our next superstar to come and join us.
The role is based in either Stockholm or Skellefteå, Sweden, with frequent travel to be expected if based in Stockholm.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:
Engineering degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar)
Minimum 3-4 years of work experience – preferably within industry, construction or management consulting
Proven track record as exceptional problem solver, i.e. strong analytical skill
Previous experience from managing smaller projects (or workstreams in larger projects) covering planning, problem solving and execution
Fluency in English, both written and oral

Experience from working in multi-cultural environment
