ABB’s Grid and Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) unit (former FACTS – Flexible AC Transmission Systems) in Västerås, part of the group’s Power Grids business, currently has two vacancies for Control System Engineers within our Global Engineering department. If you have the necessary drive and results focus, ABB GPQS offers a stimulating and dynamic environment in a global context where you will be working at the forefront of the industry.
Your responsibilities
As Control System Engineer within Global Engineering’s Control & Protection Software design organization, you will work with high quality deliveries and cost-efficient engineering solutions for our customers.
You will have the opportunity to be responsible for Control System engineering from design to implementation, verification and commissioning in delivery projects.
Each project task has specific requirements regarding control functionality and to achieve this, you will need to have frequent contact with other engineering groups, project managers, local ABB offices and our customers.

Your background
You hold a BSc or MSc in engineering, with a specialisation in electrical systems, automatic control theory, software engineering or similar is required.
Some years of experience from similar engineering positions working with deliveries of electrical power plants, converter stations, process control systems or substation automation.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
We are looking for a driven, teamwork-orientated achiever for this position.
