Purpose of the Job

As a Project Engineer you will lead, manage and control all engineering-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule. This role will also involve project planning and execution, resource management, scope management, configuration management, stakeholder management, support and drive issue resolutions, business improvement and customer support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead all aspects of design, implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project so as to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments & with relevant functions (Project Management, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Bids).
Continuous optimization of Project Engineering processes/tools/behaviours by taking into account business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions.
Monitor, control and report monthly all product related financial aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals.
Ensure that relevant skills are made available by the Engineering Function in order to fulfil project requirements.
Prepare and execute product life cycle decisions in cooperation with Project Engineers and project teams (requirements, architecture, development, testing, validation, safety, quality and configuration).
Occasional travels to meet with stakeholders and customers.



Key requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Experience in Project Engineering or Project Management.
System knowledge on a technical level and background in railway signalling (Interlocking, ATP, Metros, CBTC and/or ERTMS technologies is considered a plus).
Experience working with SW and HW and their interconnection.
Proficient Swedish and English language skills are mandatory for this role.
Ability to solve complex problems using technical experience and judgements.
English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role.
