Project Engineer Synchronous Condenser Solutions

ABB is a pioneer and the recognized market leader in the FACTS (flexible alternating current transmission systems) field. The power converter solutions team develops and implements power electronics-based equipment and systems including Static Compensators (STATCOMs) and frequency converter systems in the power range up to 150 MVA and above. These are used by power utilities and industries across applications including static compensation for renewables and industries, railway power supplies, hydro pumped-storage power plants and Synchronous Condenser Plants. To successfully deliver Synchronous Condenser Solutions we are looking for an experienced Engineer who will be taking care of the requirements and interface of the rotating machine including the auxiliary systems required.
Your responsibilities
Being the Project Engineer responsible for the application of the rotating machines and related auxiliary systems in tenders and projects
Coordination and review of Civil interface with the machines
Specifying and coordinating the auxiliary systems required for the rotating machines
Ensuring on time delivery of engineering activities
Quality of deliverables in tenders and projects
Providing technical support to team members

Your background
More than 10 years of experience working in Synchronous Condenser or Power Generation Projects
Good knowledge of large rotating machines and their impact/interface on civil installations like buildings and foundations
Good knowledge of the requirements for installation of large rotating machines and auxiliary systems
Good knowledge of commissioning of large rotating machines and auxiliary systems will be seen a positive competence
Since you will be part of a global organization, fluency in English is a must
