Job Description
As our Project Engineer you will support our teams with technical expertise within our project sales, for example slurry pumps, hydrocyclones, slurry hoses and valves. You will play a pivotal role in project success by taking ownership of technical equipment packages, defining requirements, managing variations and schedules, and ensuring quality standards are met. In this role, individual contributions are highly valued. You may need to take the lead in some tasks, while others will require you to focus on analysis and reflection. You will be part of our global organisation and report to Head of Pump Delivery, also based in Sala, Sweden.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical responsibility of assigned equipment packages, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.
* Define and document the technical requirements ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain schedules and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
* Update the delivery structure in PDM systems after defined freezing points to keep all project data up to date.
* Participate in the supplier selection process, including technical evaluations and negotiations to ensure the best suppliers are chosen.
* Manage the document flow to and from suppliers, ensuring all necessary information is exchanged efficiently.
* Review supplier documentation and plans to ensure they align with project requirements and standards.
* Plan and manage inspections of equipment to guarantee quality and compliance with specifications.
* Ensure that delivered equipment meets the quality requirements and standards.
* Authorize the release of equipment for packing and shipping, coordinating with logistics teams.
* Authorize the receipt of goods on behalf of the project, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
* Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure equipment is delivered to the project site efficiently.
To suceeed
To excel in the role of Project Engineer you should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or other related field, proven experience in project engineering, strong organizational and project management skills and excellent communication and negotiation skills, Swedish and English. Knowledge of technical equipment and specifications, general knowledge within the area of minerals and minerals processing and additional skills in Finnish is an advantage.
Your personal abilities are also important. We are looking for a driven engineer with high standards, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
