Project Engineer to Sibelco Nordic

Purpose of the job and overall responsibility:

To apply knowledge in Engineering and project management and lead a team of workers employed on a processing unit or production project. The project engineer will perform tasks such as scheduling and resource forecasting and make sure that financial forecasts are accurate and that projects are progressing as planned. The project engineer is responsible for the overall quality control on any given project in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The position is based in Sweden and you will report directly to the Head Of Project Management in Belgium.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To implement and to manage Capex projects
• To conduct investigations to solve technical problems or realize opportunities appropriate to the business needs
• To provide engineering support and advices to internal and external customers
• Keeping abreast of relevant technical & legal development


 

Requirements:

• Master in Engineering or similar education
• Experience with at least 3-5 years of a similar role
• Experience from the process industry
• Experience from project and process management, preferably from mineral industry
• Organizational & analytical mind
• Commercial sensitivity
• Hands-on and practical approach
• Problem solver and strong skills in problem resolving
• Experience from participating in global change projects
• Team player
• Mobility (involves a lot of travel mostly in the Nordic) & flexibility
• Knowledge of the English language, verbal and written
