We share a rich and purposeful heritage and even bolder future ambitions to match. Since 1927, we have created world-changing innovations: The modern seatbelt, the side impact protection system, the pedestrian detection system, to name just a few.
Today, Volvo Cars is one of the most well-known and respected premium car brands, preparing for a new future that will be all-electric and connected. Our proud history of innovation is the result of a collaborative, diverse and inclusive Volvo Cars community, grounded in a shared passion for protecting people and our planet.
For the right person, an inspiring, and creative workplace awaits. Did you know that every Volvo Cars employee worldwide has the right to our Family Bond, our all-gender, paid parental leave policy? You’ll also enjoy a culture and benefits package that’s made us one of the world’s most awarded and progressive employers.

It’s all about people
We have always prioritized people in everything we do. Curiosity about others' needs is key to creating safe, personalized, and sustainable mobility solutions. For decades, Volvo Cars has been a pioneer in automotive safety – helping save a million lives. We want to protect and enhance the lives of a million more, particularly those most in need. If you believe in the power of people and collaboration to have a positive impact and drive change, you'll thrive here. Surrounded by brilliant, curious colleagues all committed to making a difference. We are people who care about other people.
What we offer
At Volvo Cars People Experience (PX), our mission is to attract, recruit, develop, engage, and retain the people that build the future for Volvo Cars. We support and facilitate Volvo Cars’ strategic transformation with our HR deliverables, and we are on an exciting change journey. Together with our business, we handle the most precious resource for the success of the company – our talents. Given our significant transformation, change management is needed to reach our short, mid-, and long-term future success. To get there, we work in a flexible, adaptable, and sustainable manner with a constant eye on new opportunities. We care about people, safety, and sustainability – all in line with our brand promise. Right now, we have an opportunity available as a Project Lead - Competence & Talent Management, who will be working shoulder to shoulder with our Head of People Experience for Manufacturing. The role is very broad with extensive connections to internal and external stakeholders in our different organizations, plants and our wider community.
What you´ll do
You will be an integral part of the Manufacturing People Experience team and an enabler and catalyst for our team’s deliverables and cross-team collaboration. You will be working closely to colleagues globally as well as our central colleagues.
Your main responsibilities will be to take lead for prioritized competence and talent initiatives as well as other projects connected to our people plan and strategic journey. You will be a part of creating our global agenda, aligning working methods and collaborate over boarders with one goal – more value added to our business. Examples on what you will spend your time on:

•    Lead selected critical tasks, initiatives, and projects in the competence/talent space such as our work with People Plans and other strategic competence initiatives
•    Act as an interface between internal and external stakeholders in our plant and wider community including Volvo Car Academy and Manufacturing Plant Academies
•    Develop high-quality reports and presentations on our key activities in a visual, crisp, and easily understandable way
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you need to be self-driven, a true collaborator, and have an excellent sense of how to structure work. Ideally, you have a master’s degree in HR (or similar) and at least 5 years of broad experience in working within a truly global HR landscape with competence and talent management. You understand the manufacturing business well and know how to translate it’s needs into our People Experience agenda and make priorities both in the day-to-day operations as well as longer term. You have strong digital skills, you are a quick learner, and we expect you to pick up the pace swiftly.
Since you will be in contact with many different people and depend on information from them, it is important that you are relations-oriented with a natural ability for networking. You are fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong communication skills in general.
You are passionate about storytelling and savvy in creating appealing visuals. We believe you have a good sense of how to get a message through, and how to gather information and simplify it for a key audience. Finally, in this role, you handle a lot of information, and we expect high integrity and that you are used to handling confidential and sensitive information.
