The Global Competence Center for Power Quality Solutions is a unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids Sweden supporting the global market for delivery of Power Quality applications in collaboration with regional and local demand units. The Power quality applications enables power systems owners to increase the capacity of their existing power systems while improving electrical stability at the same time. The result is that more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environment impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the Global Competence Center in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
Your main mission will be to act as technical lead in engineering activities and coach teams in all engineering disciplines.
Your responsibilities
Ensuring that all activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed according to contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
Executing assignments using established solutions while acting as primary technical interface with all project stakeholders, specifically the customer.
Providing technical support to contract managers, commissioning and start-up activities.
Interact with customers, contractors and suppliers.
Creating work plans as well as evaluate risk and opportunities.
Driving technical solution for maximum platform reuse and compliance with customer requirements.
Responsible for the coordination of the Engineering activities.
Working with the Project Scheduler to ensuring that the Project Schedule is developed and then maintained.
Leading the cross functional design reviews as well as design freeze meetings.
Managing the technical risks and uncertainties.
Responsible for creating, reviewing, tracking and responding to Engineering Change Requests.
This position involves working closely with customers, subcontractors and other engineers within Hitachi ABB Power Grids.

Your background
You hold a Technical High School diploma.
Some years of experience from similar roles within the power systems business.
Understanding of power quality applications, STATCOM, SVC and FSC.
Experience from execution of complex delivery projects.
Experience from leading and coordinating teams in a global environment.
Good understanding of risk and opportunity management. - Used to handle a variety of digital tools and driven in implementation of new tools supporting future business requirements, such as BIM & MBE.
