Project Lead Engineer

The Engineering Project leaders reports to the Commercial Vehicule  OEM director. There role is to lead any project on the Engineering side in relation with Project Management Organization leaders :


• They coordinate all engineering disciplines to deliver the project from a product development standpoint.
• They facilitates the communication between the engineering disciplines
• They organize problem solving activities between the engineering disciplienes as required
• They validates ressources by discipline
• For each gate review, they coordinate the discipline to deliver the project in time and in quality.

 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


• From SPDP step 1 to 3 : they are responsible for

• Flexibility study/review
• Concept freeze
• Propose preliminary system architecture/technical solution
• Review requirements/create compliance matrix
• Create preliminary testplan (design verification, system verification, system integration)
• Create customer technical description and product risk assessment
• Define system and technical solution/concept(s)
• Create BOM(s)
• Review and agree DIA


 


• From SPDP step 4 to 9 : they are responsible for

• review and confirm customer input requirements
• create preliminary DVP (EV,DV,PV, Cert)
• identify and collect stakeholder requirements (incl CSR & FuSa)
• Create requirements document baseline
• Design maturity assessment
• Analyze and create system stakeholder requirements
• Create system architecture design and detailed req definition
• Finalize architectural design (conceptual design)
• Define system DFMEA and identify special characteristics
• Customer support build reports & feedback, EV
• Create sub system DFMEAs
• Create detailed design and DFx (EV)
• Update DVP for EV
• EV build complete and build review done
• Engineering verification (EVP) and reporting
• Data Privacy and IP review
• Design Maturity Assessment
• Customer support build reports & feedback, DV
• Update system stakeholder requirements
• Update SYAD and detailed requirement definition
• Update system DFMEA and SC update
• DVP&R design verification (inc. system integration & verification)
• Secure requirements and system design
• Finalize system DFMEA
• Update sub system FMEAs
• Update detailed design and DFxDV
• Update & finalize DVP
• DV, product release
• DV build review

• Review measurements and key charactiristics on part
• Define measurements/key characteristics on parts

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:


• Engineering degree in System engineering, Software
• 10 years experience in product development in the electronic industry
• Experience from project management
• Prior automotive experience
• Excellent communication skills, both oral, written and visual
• Strong team player, capable to bring people together to solve problems in a constructive manner
• Strong analytical skills

 


• Self-starter, able to identify opportunities and to pursue them with minimum guidance
