We are now looking for HVDC Control & Protection Project Lead Engineers, who will be an integral part of a department which is responsible for automation systems and digital real-time control of the plants and transmissions. This also includes user interfaces such as HMI (Human Machine Interface), diagnostic tools and IT (Information Technology) infrastructure and IT security. Your responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for technical oversight of a project along with responsibility of the system design of the entire project. Requirement handling is an integral part of the role.
Mentoring your peers in the project is an important aspect of this role.
Work closely with the project teams, the Technical Solution Owner, the Product Owner, the Technical Responsible team, and the Project Management Office.
Responsibility for leading the technical scope for Control & Protection application systems in HVDC projects, overlooking all technical aspects and interfaces (including third party).
We expect that you maintain highest standards of quality of documentation.
Managing interfaces with multiple internal and external stakeholders, both as customers and suppliers (e.g. AC Protection and Control, SCADA, Telecom, Plants Engineering, System Studies).
Support tenders and bids for Control & Protection systems in new HVDC projects (ad-hoc).
Willing to travel a couple of weeks in a year for customer visits and available to support activities on site for a couple of months once projects are in the installation and commissioning phases, always representing Hitachi Energy the best possible way.
Your background
Knowledge and experience from system development and system integration, for industrial systems / control and protection systems, preferably within HVDC technology.
Knowledge and experience from Control and Protection systems.
Knowledge and experience from complex integration projects during design and execution. Experience on site is also desirable.
You are structured, flexible and hold great technical academic and professional qualifications.
An independent and communicative person who are motivated to take on a new challenge.
