As Project Lead Engineer Automation, you will become part of ABB Energy Industries where you, together with project managers and other engineering colleagues work with delivery projects to customers within automation, industrial IT, and electrical power. We primarily base our project deliveries on ABB's market leading DCS platform 800xA.
Energy Industries is part of ABB's Process Automation business area and operates towards customers in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industry as well as the heat, water, and nuclear power industry in Sweden. Our project activities are currently conducted from Malmö, Mölndal, Västerås, Kista, and Umeå.

The position is primarily located in our office in Malmö, but our other locations can be evaluated depending on your profile, so do not hesitate to submit your application.
Your responsibilities
As a Project Lead Engineer, you are responsible for the technical coordination internally and externally in the project and are involved in all phases of the project from sales support and ideation to commissioning and after-sales support.
You work in projects together with the project team, which may include, for example, the development of functional specifications and programming documents, system setup (Microsoft, VMware/Hyper-V, and ABB sw), system integration, application programming, system and test documentation, and verification/validation in the form of internal testing (IAT/FAT) as well as during commissioning and testing (SAT) with the customer.
The delivery is carried out in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements, as well as cost-effectively, with the right quality and according to the schedule.
Depending on the size of the project, this leading role can also be combined with active automation work in the project. That is, even as a Project Lead Engineer, you can work with advanced programming, system installations & configurations, etc. Everything depending on your competency profile. If you have extensive experience in automation and want to work in a leading technical role, that is excellent too.
You have close cooperation with our customers together with the project manager, including participation in project and technical meetings and site visits.

Your background
We are looking for someone who has a degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering or relevant work experience.
You have solid automation skills and at least five years of work experience in process automation as an automation engineer or equivalent.
You are a driven and clear-sighted person with leadership skills who enjoys a leading role where you are self-reliant and take responsibility and initiative.
You have good collaboration skills and are used to working in teams, are goal-oriented and communicative.
As a person, you prioritize the customer and can build good relationships both internally and externally.
It is also a merit if you have experience and deep knowledge of System 800xA in application and/or system installation and upgrades. You also have knowledge
