Project Leader, Category Area Wood & Fibres

If yes, this might be the perfect challenge for you! At IKEA of Sweden we develop and make the IKEA range available to stores and customers all over the world. Within the responsibilities of IKEA of Sweden lies the development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range.

In the Project Leader role you will be working with all Categories within the Category Area and with Range & Design, securing that the strengths and capabilities of the materials and production techniques are integrated into future range development in order to improve solutions for our customers. You will work with strengthening the link between Range & Design and Category Area Wood & Fibres by supporting understanding of strengths and capabilities within Category Area related materials, industry and production techniques, identifying collaboration activities as well as provide input to Category Business Plans from a range direction perspective. From that position you will secure an up to date and easy accessible materials library for Wood & Fibres related materials and be part of working with the launch and activity calendar.

Assignment
-Lead the development of a materials library for the Category Area on the basis of all dimensions of Democratic Design
-Support understanding of existing strength and capabilities within the Category area related materials, technology, production and industry and the connection to range development
-Support with channeling our existing strength and capabilities of the materials and production techniques within Category area Wood & Fibres into new product applications/combinations to build new and improve existing solutions for our customers
-Is part of the work with the Launch & Activity Calendar, working closely with Range & Design
-Work closely with the categories in Category Area providing input to the Category business plans from a range direction perspective
-Be the main link between Range & Design department and Category Area and identifying collaboration activities

Is this your next challenge?

To be a successful Project Leader we would like you to have 3-5 years of experience in related field of work with proven track record. Have deep knowledge of supplier capabilities, at least one material and related production, supply chain and basic finance as well as experience of negotiations. You have leadership skills and it is an advantage if you have experience from working as Project Leader for various projects. As a person you are highly motivated, decisive, analytical and have a strong business drive. You have the ability to foresee the consequences of one's own actions and act based on high moral and ethical principles. You have an overall view with both operational and tactical thinking.
