What do we offer?
Volvo Cars is in the process of developing and industrialize the future propulsion systems based on battery and electric machines.
Manufacturing Engineering, is a section within Manufacturing Engineering within Volvo Cars. We develop and implement quality assured, flexible, and effective production systems in Volvo Cars Propulsion Components production sites. The section is working cross functionally and project oriented. We are supporting all Volvo Car Group´s Propulsion Components production plants and car programs locally and globally. Within the team Global Line & Equipment, we are now looking for a new member working as a Global Equipment Engineer.

The team Global Line & Equipment is part of Manufacturing Engineering and has responsibility for develop, design and specify production lines and equipment solutions for product projects, running changes, capacity projects and non-product projects according to project targets for Volvo Cars e-machine production.
You will be part of an engineering team that develop global engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within decided cost and time frames.
The work includes contacts with local teams, other engineering departments, plant engineering and production within our company as well as with external suppliers.
The position requires some travelling and also gives possibility to work shorter or longer period abroad.
It can be based in either Skövde or Gothenburg.
What will you do?
As our next Global Equipment Engineer, you will participate and lead projects supporting our Lean Principles and following Volvo Cars Manufacturing System for our electric machine production.
You will also:
• Lead the team to develop concept, validate and verify equipment and process.
• Create, specify and analyze the equipment part of the process layouts.
• Perform safety-, reliability- and cost analyzes.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you:
• Have a B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent competence gained by experience.
• Have good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Have experience from developing concepts, implementation of production lines and equipment.
It is meritorious if you have experience from leading positions, knowledge of automation, assembly technology, methods and tools, (Auto Cad, Teamcenter) at manufacturing. Skills in process development, preferably in automotive industry is also a plus.
As a person we believe you have great communication skills, and you collaborate well with others. We also think you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Self-driven, result oriented, flexible and positive attitude are also needed competencies.
