About us Lynk & Co
It is not every day that someone launches a new car brand, but that isn’t what is unusual about Lynk & Co. We are re-defining the entire experience of buying, owning and using a car. Our fast growing team based in Gothenburg, Amsterdam and Hangzhou, is reshaping mobility as we know it.
We are currently expanding to provide the capability for our global market entry and your contribution may be key to our success. If you share the passion for creating amazing customer experience, have an open mindset, thrive on innovative ways of working and want to be part of a global, diverse and agile team, you sound like you might be our next colleague.
The following position, based in Gothenburg, is currently open for application:
Innovation Project Leader
Co:lab is the innovation engine within Lynk & Co. Our job is to find, nurture, protect and grow new ideas and make cool new stuff happen. We are the people who ask why to conventions and try to come up with new and better ways to do what needs to be done.
For anyone interested in innovation, technology and new business opportunities; this is the stuff your dreams are made of. To succeed you will have to apply all your creativity, charm and wit. You will have to hustle, persuade and find ways to make the impossible happen.
We have a firm belief that the only way we can do something truly different and succeed is if we open up our innovation efforts to the outside world and collaborate, and it is our responsibility to take the ideas we get from both the internal and external community and breathe life into them.
Summed up, you will:
· Scout new ideas and opportunities, internally and externally, and evaluate which ones to pursue
· Incubate ideas and grow them into tangible concepts in order to reach a kill or cure decision
· Act as Product Owner for decided innovation projects; drive progress on time and budget through concept and pilot phases up to hand-over for market implementation
· Drive innovation in the organization and how we work; boost creativity, identify areas for disruption and support teams in realizing their ideas and doing things differently
· Support in operation of our online idea platform; recruit, activate, moderate and recognize active users – in order to build an engaged community
· Plan and execute community events both online (contests) and offline (hackathon, meet-ups, student events or whatever you identify as an opportunities) together with our Marketing team
About you
· Tech-savvy. You are passionate about new tech because it’s one of the enablers to do cool new stuff. You don’t have to be able to code, but an understanding of apps and how they are built is beneficial as you will work with and set requirements towards the ones who do.
· EQ. Understanding tech is not enough – you need to know what motivates, triggers and drives human behavior; capable to translate that into good UI/UX and design services that add value.
· Communicative. To make stuff happen you will work with lots of different stakeholders; external partners, teams across the company, software developers and community members. Being able to express yourself clearly and build networks is a necessity.
· Designer. Because being able to visualize what you want to do is valuable in so many aspects; from selling an idea to describing a service and customer journey as well as communicating with the community. You don’t have to be Picasso but capable in software like Photoshop, Figma etc. is a great plus.
· Leader. You are going to act as a leader, both to inspire and build engagement as well as challenge the status quo. You will have to be decisive and able to sell your ideas and yourself.
· Initiator. We are privileged with the mandate to look for and pursue the coolest new ideas as well as areas for improvement – this requires a strong drive and we rely on that you take a lot of initiatives on your own.
· Problem solver. No one is going to tell you how to do your job. You will run into challenges, and you need to have a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset to get things done.
We know we’re asking for quite a lot, but we think the nature of this job requires a multi-talented superhero, and we’re convinced you’re out there. We think you are that perfect blend of tech, business and design, and probably has at least a B.Sc. in one of those areas. And even if you lack formal credentials but see yourself in the above and feel that this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for; Convince us that you are the intrapreneur we’re looking for.
Other things you should know
You will report to the Co:lab Director within the Technology & Business Innovation department.
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, at Lynk & Co HQ, but will require some travels, mainly within Europe and occasionally to our colleagues in China.
What we offer
We are a rapidly expanding global mobility brand. We offer a culture of personal development and role growth. You will have the pleasure of working in a fast-paced environment with a team that punches considerably above its weight. We look for collaborators. Original thinkers. People who value being open, personal and challenging. People who think (like we do) that imagination is as important as expertise and value instinct and insight as much as experience. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
We look forward to receiving your application as soon as possible, but latest 2020-04-30. We will do ongoing selection of candidates during the application period so don’t hesitate to post your application if this looks interesting to you.
