Through workspace development, we provide functional and loveable workspaces for INTER IKEA companies located in Sweden. Job Description
The IoS Extension project is a massive initiative where we are building a new extension of 17 000 m2 to our beloved IoS to make more room for future product development. As Project Leader in this project, your responsibility will be to lead the team that fills this new building, translating the needs and demands of business and people, to create an engaging and absorbing workplace that lives and breathes IKEA.
This is a big responsibility in a monetary sense, as well as branding-wise, with very ambitious environmental classifications. The Project Leader makes sure the project objectives are achieved according to the specific project briefs and work in close cooperation with Steering group, target groups from the business, workplace designers and Facility management. This by preparing, planning, and organizing initiatives, manage dependencies, and develop and execute change control. All while managing time, cost, scope, risk, communication quality, and change.
Once everything is in place and the building is operational, you make sure that we are continuously improving and developing this workplace.
Qualifications
For this influential role, we are looking for a skilled Project Leader with solid experience of creating workplaces. You know how to gather demands and transform these into a reality based on the needs of the coworkers and business. You take responsibility for securing that risk assessments in all dimensions are done, as well as making sure that information is in the right place, at the right time to the right people and stakeholders.
You make sure we follow time- and budget plans, and you are comfortable controlling a substantial budget.
Furthermore, you have:
Good understanding of IKEA business processes and strategic landscape.
Good knowledge of property and/or building expansions, including the legal implications connected to these projects.
A constant focus on “Cost-consciousness” and “Caring for the people and planet”
Interest in people’s life at home and at the company workplace.
Energy, drive and commitment to deliver better solutions for IKEA co-workers and visitors.
Passion to lead and develop business with, and through, people.

This position is a full time permanent assignment located in Älmhult, Sweden, home of IKEA at IKEA of Sweden.
