Job Description
Temporary position approx. one year
Become part of an international team of logistics experts at Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH (TT). In the international manufacturing network, we are responsible for the introduction and coordination of a TT-wide logistical quantity planning process (S&OP) from sales and production planning to capacity coordination with our suppliers. As the link between central logistics, business units, sales, and the production plants, we are the first point of contact for all overarching logistics issues. In addition, we are responsible for the operational management of global shortages of purchased parts, for coordinating the distribution of available purchased parts to production plants and the allocation of finished goods to countries. Our broad area of responsibility also includes the operational quantity planning of general merchandise and the logistical support of new launches in the product portfolio. Our tasks also include performance management about inventories and the availability of goods in the plants and markets.
Job Description
• You assume responsibility for and operational implementation of the allocation process for finished goods, including coordination with the top management of the sales regions and business units, as well as regular communication with the affected production plants and markets.
• You are motivated to lead and work in task forces to ensure the availability of materials for the production plants.
• You will assume a managerial role in the project to introduce a TT-wide standardized quantity planning process (S&OP) and accompany the project through proof of concept and rollout phases.
• You assume responsibility and operational implementation for defined sub-processes in the S&OP process.
• Your tasks include the preparation and, in some cases, implementation of top-level management meetings on various topics in the department's area of responsibility.
• You set up a targeted and pragmatic performance management system about stocks and product availability and monitor this operationally, involving affected production plants and sales units. You put a special focus on the optimization of slow and non-mover inventory.
• The independent implementation of projects to optimize logistics processes is not new to you. Here you bring in your expertise and apply it to our fields of action.
• You support the operational management of global supplier bottlenecks. The sustainable introduction of a newly developed process for supplier bottleneck management including a standardized escalation model for TT is also one of your tasks.
Qualifications
• Personality & way of working: You are characterized by an optimistic and positive attitude and react flexibly to changing requirements. You work on topics independently, in a structured and analytical manner and with a high degree of personal responsibility. You approach challenges with a high level of solution orientation and in a pragmatic manner. You meet times of higher workload with a trained resilience and high commitment.
• Team player: You enjoy working in international teams. Your very good coordination skills are used in cross-functional and cross-border projects and task forces. You are characterized by a very high level of communication skills across cultures and hierarchical levels coupled with enthusiasm for the daily exchange with different stakeholders from all over the world.
• Experience and know-how: You have in-depth knowledge of logistics and at least five years of practical experience in planning logistics (quantity planning, S&OP process, bottleneck management) as well as in-depth experience in optimizing logistics processes and key figures in operational logistics and in project management.
• IT skills: You are extremely confident in dealing with MS Office (especially Excel, Powerpoint, teams). SAP is not a foreign word for you (ERP especially modules MM, SD, possibly APO). Data analytics skills (e.g. Power BI) would be desirable and value is placed on a high level of IT affinity.
• Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Mobility: You are willing to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Education: Studies in economics, industrial engineering, supply chain management or comparable.
