The Leader-Site Management is the onsite customer focal point to the project team. The professional shall be able to build and strength the customer and subcontractors relationships by supporting the project manager and team for all customer on site related issues. The use of technical and interpersonnal skills are part of the daily routine, since the field activities require a constant flow of communication to report technical and project execution issues and progress.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Leader- Site Management develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives in projects in the signaling and control sector, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
Serve as the primary GE on-site or mobile representative to an assigned customers
Provide on the field project leadership, technical direction, and assistance to the customer, end user, and other GE field personnel in the implementation for the project on site deliverers.
Provide additional team leadership and administrative responsibilities to coordinate internal field service activities
Perform assigned GE product line activities and assist the customer with technical support and focal point in project management.
Apply Six Sigma analytical tools to manage and control materials, site installation activities performed by GE and subcontractors.
Provide single point of contact to the customer, customer team, and all other GE stakeholders.
Assist the project team with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate project decision making process, including identification in contract deviations and changes and also track additional scope or services sales opportunities.
Responsible for scheduling and weekly tracking of all site related activities and in country procurement expediting.
Responsible to perform handover to the final customer for documents, quality check lists, and in field test reports.
Responsible to execute the field modifications required by engineering, and to. Maintain the as built configuration file.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Previous proven experience in site field engineering roles (preferred)
Availability to relocate to the projects assigned locations
Organized and Self Motivated professional, used to self-manage and experienced to field assignments
Project management or supervision experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
GE Leadership Development program (PMDP, PMLP, OMLP, JOLP, RELP or equivalent)
Demonstrated Leadership in a matrix environment
Demonstrated leadership and management skills which has resulted in success
Served as Customer focal point on project sites and manage GE subcontractors or partner contract to ensure success
Solid technical background, project management, and services experience; specially with multiple NPI programs to be validated
