Our Project Logistics (PL) team specializes in complex, heavy-lift and over-sized project cargo, global logistics and international freight forwarding solutions. About the position
As Project Logistics Manager, you have the important role to lead, develop and support our Project Logistics department - a great team of about ten employees. You are responsible for leading the daily operational business and your departments’ performance and results. You will have a wide network and close collaboration with your colleagues in Sweden, GEODIS´s global network and suppliers and partners worldwide.
Your key accountabilities will be:
- Responsible for daily operations.
- Full staff responsibility for your team.
- Develop, inspire, and engage your team.
- Act as an ambassador and live our leadership principles.
- Manage financial business result, turnover and KPIs.
- Profit and loss responsibility.
- Implement and align company processes, policies, and routines.
- Responsible for team meetings and continuous follow-ups with customers and suppliers.
- Work in close collaboration with Account Managers.
- Account Manager responsibility for some customers.
- Establish and maintain good customer and supplier relations.
This is a permanent position, starting on agreement. You will have frequent and regular customer contact and some travel will be required. You will be located at our newly renovated head office in central Gothenburg, close to public transport, shops, and restaurants. Your profile
We are looking for a leader who acts as an ambassador, with passion for developing and motivating others. You have an interest in business development and sales, where you are motivated to find new possibilities and grow our business.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have solid experience within the logistics industry. It is a strong merit if you have experience of project logistics. A post-secondary school degree within logistics/freight forwarding is a merit. As we have customers and colleagues all over the world, working proficiency in English and Swedish is required. Previous experience from leading and developing people is a merit.
