You will be part of HVDC division within the Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. HVDC System Technology Valves delivers electric power converters and optical measuring devices for HVDC and FACTS applications. As Project Manager within the Valve Department of HVDC you will have an exciting and important position in our global organization. Here you will continuously meet new people and exciting challenges. This is a most challenging and exciting role where you will be able to grow and be a key part of delivering our HVDC systems all over the world.
Your responsibilities
Managing the team of large projects within the scope of HVDC’s mega-systems installed all over the world.
Handling the aspects of the projects to agreed-upon customer requirements and ensuring all technical, safety, quality and financial targets are met, and our dedicated projects are delivered on time, at the right cost and quality.
Coordinating and motivating the work of a team of electrical, mechanical and test engineers, as well as material supply and production.
Monitoring project implementations ensuring best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, risk management and health, safety and the environment.
Achieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements.
Leading the delivery of HVDC Valves, Valve Cooling System and the Optical Measurement equipment.

Your background
Knowledge of HVDC technology and a degree in engineering, are seen as an advantage
Experience in following up on planning-related and financial project tasks
Leadership, communication and collaborative ability
You are structured, persistent and well-organized in your way of working
You are open-minded and eager to learn new things
You are ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment
