Project Manager

To our office at Lindholmen in Gothenburg, we are now looking for a Project Manager for the evaporation unit, Ash & Bio TU.
Valmet in Gothenburg works with deliveries of evaporation, ash handling and Lignoboost systems to the paper and pulp industry, as well as with service of Recovery boilers and Power boilers.
As a Project Manager with us, you lead major Retrofit- or Greenfield projects up to appr SEK 500 million, and our customers are paper and Pulp mills all over the world. One of our latest deliveries is the world's largest Evaporation plant to Bracell Pulp mill in the Star project in Brazil. As a project manager, you are responsible towards the customer to deliver the project together with your project team with HSE in focus, on time and at the right quality. You are responsible for the project budget, as well as all negotiations, including negotiation of change orders to the customer. You manage one or more projects simultaneously in different phases, depending on size and complexity.


You are also an important support to the sales team during the sales phase where you review the budget, contract and schedule and participate in customer meetings during final negotiation.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have a Master/Bachelor with a technical focus and several years of work experience as a project manager in the process industry, or comparable industrial activities. Preferable you are at a senior level or on the way being senior. We would like you to have good contractual knowledge and the ability to think strategically and commercially. It is meritorious if you have experience of EPC projects and projects in an international environment. Experience with our products is also considered valuable and we encourage internal applicants within Valmet.
The fact that you are a proactive person who is passionate about projects and delivering what we promised our customers with the desired profit is crucial for you to thrive in this role. You are an obvious, positive leader with self-awareness and a good ability to build trust and relationships with customers and other stakeholders. Since we put a lot of focus on creating winning teams, collaboration and the desire to develop together is of great importance.
You have very good communicative skills and speak and write fluently in at least English but preferable also in Swedish. Additional languages are meritorious.
